Lasallian Day of Service is a day that allows alumni
to come together in the spirit of the Lasallian mission of service to others. Alumni are encouraged to participate in service projects in their hometowns and neighborhoods for a day of volunteering on Saturday, October 26,2013.

The 2013 volunteer opportunities have been arranged in Chicago; Twin Cities; Winona; Saint Louis, Missouri; and in Denver, Colorado.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Chicago-area:
San Miguel Middle School - Chicago, Ill.

A middle school providing an innovative and accessible education rooted in Lasallian tradition for children of inner-city families.
Volunteers Needed: 20
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Volunteer Duties: inside and outside painting and general cleaning
Alumni Site Volunteer:  Tom Sullivan '72
Supplies needed:  They request that alumni bring paint brushes, roller handles and roller trays for the painting work

Feed My Starving Children - Schaumburg, Ill.  ALL FULL

Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. Hunger Task Force works to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.
